That small cap on the back is proving VERY difficult to get off!

Great work ! I loved watching your video ! I have a Sylvania VCR and DVD combo that doesn't read the tape. Insert the tape, tape goes in but does not engage to load it. Model: DVR90VF I would appreciate any hints to go about resolving the issue. Thank you Renato

I think is the issue with my vcr combo crt tv! It's built a little different and the vcr player is at on top of the screen haha I will try this sometime thank you

Hi! Do you know the model number of the inverter that is used for the microwave oven Panasonic NN ST651W? The repairing shop return my oven without the inverter installed. The 2technian" include in the package two inverters and a notesaying that all the inverters are similar, but he takes out the inverter of my oven and he is later confused what are the inverter that came installed originally. I must know the mentioned info to recover my original inverter.

My folks' ZV427MG9A would play a tape for a few secs, and then stop. Found this, cleaned the IR emitter, prism, and receivers (including the one under the make/break wheel) and that did it! Giving it a good inside-out cleaning now. You're a wizard!

This is my first time getting a cassette deck. Do you know if you can record music onto cassettes from your phone or computer using this deck?

Just wanted to say thank you for this video. I was given this unit by my grandfather in law and I could not figure out the right channel issue on my own. I tested every component in the channel path and was at a loss. This relay was the exact problem on mine as well and it was a super easy fix. Mine recently got hit with a water balloon at the park! Big puddle of water mostly at the top. I let it dry for a couple of days. It doesn't seem to be malfunctioning but I haven't tested everything on it.

Like the idea of the stainless steel to clear the hole. I have the same equipment (or very similar) one channel is really weak and shows no protection mode. I do try to test all mosfet and this resistor. But could not find anything I am wondering, could it be a resistor in Th channel, or may be the IC? How can I test the IC? Thank you.. Great video.

All of those capacitors were bad, all were around or at least 50% out except the .47 which was over 1000 nF, so more than 100% over rating which means they’re all electrically leaky and were likely tested at voltages lower than what they see in the radio which means leakage would be worse in the radio. ESR wasn’t end of the world, but at the same time not good either. I would throw them out purely on how leaky they are.

I have that movie on VHS 📼 it's Gung Ho it's a Ron Howard movie 🎥🎞️ it's second hand video. I haven't play it cause my player is just for DVD. I finally got a vhs combo player in good shape at a local auction, it lights up well still working condition. Im try one day set it up soon with my TV 📺. I knew right away when you played that movie it's a cult classic.

I have two of these Wolfgang Puck low pressure ovens that my wife and mother use frequently. Both are unable to hold the temperature accurately. We've placed thermometers inside and do our best to make adjustments so they can be used, but it's a challenge. Is there something I could address/replace/repair to help with this? Could have put a mylar capacitor there for the volume, and those boards were stuffed with components, then wave soldered, then went for lead cropping, then to assembly.

I have this machine with same On0ff issue; this was helpful - but our speaker thingys are all copper with no burned looking spots, guess we have a diff problem.

I seldom look at brands when I am on Mouser or Digikey buying capacitors. As someone who only does it for a hobby my assumption is whatever I get from them is going to be better than an open or leaking one I am replacing.

My new/secondhand Yamaha 3060 I recently installed has started to intermittently cut out when playing CDs and I wonder if this is why as it only seems to happen shortly after starting to play. It plays fine mostly but suddenly stops for 2-4 seconds (shows "Decoder Off") then resumes. Most annoying.

After a week of picking glue and skin off my fingers from refoaming a pair of Infinity speakers, I highly recommend rubber/latex work gloves for protection. Some of the truly fine work must be done by hand though. Always wanted a Sony ES cassette deck. I have a decent Kenwood at this time.
